Militants launched 49 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 49 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day.

In Mariupol direction, militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian strongholds near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk). ATO troops also came under small arms fire outside Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) and Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk).

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants fired at Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), using 120mm and 82mm mortars and small arms. Terrorists used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms to launch attacks on ATO troops outside Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations shelled Ukrainian servicemen outside Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), using 82mm mortars. Ukrainian strongholds near Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) came under heavy machine gun fire.
