Ukraine spends 6% of GDP on security and defence

Ukraine spends 6% of its GDP on financing the security and defence sector.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at the opening of the laboratory center in Ternopil city, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We spend 6% of GDP on security and defence sector," the President said.

Poroshenko noted that the Ukrainian army was now among ten most powerful armies in Europe.
