Militants launched 23 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 23 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day.

The tensest situation was observed in Donetsk direction, where militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). Tanks were used to launch attacks on strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk). Militants also shelled residential districts of Avdiivka, using 82mm mortars. As a result, two civilians were wounded. Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed as a result of mortar and grenade launcher attack on positions near Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) and Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, Ukrainian positions came under small arms fire outside Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).
