Militants launched 21 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 21 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day. Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed, another three were wounded.

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants used grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell Ukrainian positions in Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk). ATO troops also came under small arms fire in Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

In Mariupol direction, illegal armed formations fired at Ukrainian strongholds outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), using grenade launchers and 82mm mortars.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists launched attacks on Ukrainian troops near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), using grenade launchers and small arms. ATO troops also came under 120mm mortar fire near Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk).

As noted, illegal armed formations continue to shell residential districts. Thus, militants used heavy machine guns to fire at residential quarters of Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) and launched attacks on the village of Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), using grenade launchers.
