Famous Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk visited units of the Kramatorsk border guard detachment within the framework of his trip to the ATO area in eastern Ukraine.
This is reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"First, the boxer visited the department of the Kramatorsk border guard detachment, where he talked with the border guards. Afterwards, Oleksandr left for the department of the Bahmut detachment. His arrival was a pleasant surprise for the servicemen, who were happy to chat and take photos with their favorite athlete. Usyk also visited the Kurahivka operational and combat commandant's office, where he treated Ukrainian soldiers with a delicious salad he prepared by himself and also helped with the repair works in the unit," the statement reads.
While visiting the Marinka entry-exit checkpoint, the athlete expressed his words of support and gratitude to the border guards for their hard work. To make the conversation more interesting and the visit more informative, a makeshift ring was built and the boxer gave a master class.
Oleksandr Usyk also visited a local children's sports school.
