Militants launched 29 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 29 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.

"Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 29 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the enemy 17 times. As a result of the fighting, three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded," the statement reads.

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants used different types of grenade launchers and small arms guns to fire at Ukrainian strongholds near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). As a result of the fighting, one serviceman was wounded. ATO troops also came under infantry fire outside Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk).

In Mariupol direction, the enemy used grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations opened fire from grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on the defenders of Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk).
