President Poroshenko: UN peacekeeping mission should be deployed in Donbas as soon as possible

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has stated that a UN peacekeeping mission should be deployed in Donbas as soon as possible.

In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote: “I will do everything possible so that a UN peacekeeping mission be deployed in occupied Donbas as soon as possible. This is the only option that can stop the murder of Ukrainians, both civilians and servicepersons, and that can resume the Ukrainian sovereignty in occupied Donbas".

President Poroshenko stressed that for this “Russia’s withdrawal from the occupied territories would be enough”.
