Militants launched 59 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day
Russian-backed militants launched 59 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 120mm mortars on Ukrainian positions near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol) and Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), 82mm mortars – outside Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk) and Pavlopol. Militants also shelled strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In addition, illegal armed formations opened fore from weapons on infantry combat vehicles near Pisky and Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol), heavy machine guns – outside Opytne, small arms – near Slavne (25km south-west of Donetsk), Berezove (35km south-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske. ATO troops outside Novotroitske came under sniper fire.
In Luhansk direction, Russian-occupation troops used 120mm mortars to fire at ATO strongholds outside Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk). Militants also opened fire from 82mm mortars near Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), weapons on infantry combat vehicles – near Luhanske and Troitske.
One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in enemy shelling. Another one serviceman was injured.
