Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 26 times in last day

Militants launched 26 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire regime 26 times, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and IFV weapons,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In Luhansk direction, the enemy used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire at Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

In Svitlodarsk direction, Ukrainian positions near Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) and Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk) came under fire of automatic grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. As a result of shelling, one Ukrainian serviceman was injured.

In Horlivka and Donetsk directions, Russian-backed militants shelled Ukrainian positions outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk), using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

In Mariupol direction, the tense situation was observed in the area of Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), where the enemy opened fire from grenade launchers and small armss.
