Ukrainian Air Force gets modernized MiG-29MU1 fighter aircraft – Poroshenko

The Ukrainian Air Force received modernized MiG-29MU1 combat aircraft; two fighter planes were already transferred to one of the military units.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko informed this on his Facebook page.

"The Ukrainian military received modernized MiG-29MU1 fighters. One of the military units already received two combat aircraft carriers, which will strengthen the defense capability of the Ukrainian army," Poroshenko wrote.

He informed that the MiG-29 fighter, upgraded to the level of the MiG-29MU1 fighter aircraft, in particular, got a more powerful radar station, as well as a satellite navigation system integrated into the onboard radio navigation system.

The works on the improvement of the combat aircraft were carried out by the Lviv State Aircraft Repair Plant together with other enterprises of the State Concern Ukroboronprom.
