Militants launched 18 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day
Russian-backed militants launched 18 attacks, including one from weapons banned under the Minsk agreements, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day. The situation remained tense but absolutely controlled and had the signs of stabilization.
“Russian-occupation forces used 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk), Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk) and Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.
The enemy opened fire from mortars outside Novhorodske in Horlivka direction.
No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported in last day.
Today, militants have already shelled Ukrainian troops near Luhanske, using tripod-mounted man-portable antitank gun.
