Militants launched 37 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day
Russian-backed militants launched 37 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements six times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day.
“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Berezove (35km south-west of Donetsk), Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk), Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk), Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.
Russian-occupation troops fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In addition, illegal armed formations shelled the JFO units outside Chermalyk, Hnutove and Vodiane, using 82mm mortars and near Chermalyk and Krymske, using 120mm mortars. The weapons on infantry fighting vehicles were used to fire on Ukrainian strongholds near Krymske, Troitske, Chermalyk and Hnutove. The enemy also fired anti-tank guided missiles outside Novotoshkivske and Hranitne.
In addition, Russian-backed militants used weapons banned under the Minsk agreements to shell Vodiane in Mariupol direction. Five 120mm mortars were fired on the residential district on the western outskirts of Vodiane. No casualties among civilians or damages of residential buildings were reported.
One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in last day. According to the intelligence, one militant was killed, four more were wounded.
Today, militants have already launched four attacks on Ukrainian troops outside Krymske, Hnutove, Vodiane and Shyrokyne, using heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms.
