Clear Sky 2018 drills start in Ukraine
The multinational air force exercise Clear Sky 2018 has begun in Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko has said on Facebook.
"Within 12 days, the tasks in the sky will be carried out by highly skilled pilots from Belgium, Britain, Denmark, Estonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, the United States and Ukraine," Poroshenko wrote.
He added that war games would not only increase compatibility with the air forces of the U.S. and other NATO member states, but would also significantly improve the level of training of Ukrainian Air Force crews.
The president emphasized that Ukraine's cooperation with the armed forces of the partners testifies to the willingness to jointly protect peace and common democratic values.
