242 children killed since start of Russian aggression against Ukraine

Since the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine, more than 2,500 civilians have been killed, including 242 children.

Head of the Defense Ministry’s Department of Environmental Safety and Mine Action Colonel Maksym Komisarov stated this at a briefing on February 1, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Since the beginning of the conflict, more than 2,500 civilians have been killed, including 2,400 adults and 242 children. The total number of injured - up to 10,000 people, including 2,000 children,” said Komisarov.

Komisarov noted that З0-35% of all casualties were related to explosions of mines and other unexploded devices.

He noted as a result of landmine explosions, 269 people were killed, including 27 children, and 564 people were injured, including 98 children.
