Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine nine times in last day
Militants violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas nine times over the past day, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements twice.
“In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, militants used automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire on Ukrainian troops near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk) and Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – near Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol). The enemy sniper was also detected near Avdiivka,” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.
In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, militants used 82mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars and small arms – in the area of Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk); grenade launchers – outside Zaitseve (62km north-east of Donetsk).
One Ukrainian serviceman was killed, another two were wounded in enemy shelling over the past day.
Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.
