Russian-led forces violate ceasefire eight times in Donbas

The armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire eight times, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements four times, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy fired 122mm artillery systems, 82mm and 120mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the Joint Forces Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from 120mm mortars near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns – outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns – in the area of Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – near Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol); hand-held grenade launchers and small arms – outside Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 122mm artillery systems, 120mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicle and automatic mounted grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian positions near Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); 82mm mortars – outside Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk).

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded over the past day. The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in response to enemy’s shooting. According to intelligence, one invader was wounded on May 30.

Today, the enemy has already launched four attacks on Ukrainian troops, using 82mm mortars to fire on Ukrainian positions near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems – outside Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk); 122mm artillery systems, 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns – in the area of Travneve (51km north-east of Donetsk). No casualties have been reported.

The Joint Forces units continue to reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to ceasefire agreements.
