Invaders shoot down OSCE drone in Luhansk region

The armed formations of the Russian occupation forces fired at two OSCE drones in the occupied Donbas: one was damaged, the other was shot down.

The OSCE SMM informed this in a report, based on information received as of 19:30, September 29, 2019.

"On September 27, the SMM conducted a mid-range UAV flight over the disengagement area near Petrivske (non-government-controlled, 41km south of Donetsk), as well as areas near Viktorivka (42km south-west of Donetsk) and Rodnykove (non-government-controlled, 36km south of Donetsk), about 260-320m above the ground; it landed the UAV. Subsequently, the SMM noted that the same UAV had sustained damage," the report says.

In particular, an entry hole (around 5mm in diameter) on the lower side of the left wing and an exit hole on the upper side of the left wing (around 3-4mm in diameter) were found on the drone. The SMM assessed the damage as caused by small-arms fire

On September 29, while positioned 1.6km north-north-east of Lobacheve (non-government-controlled, 13km east of Luhansk), conducting a mini-UAV flight, the SMM heard seven shots of small-arms fire about 3km south-east, assessed as aimed at the UAV, which was flying about 3km south-east of its position. The SMM lost control over the UAV and was unable to recover it.
