Kyiv Armored Plant transfers upgraded T-72 tanks to Ukrainian army
Kyiv Armored Plant has transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces the last batch of six T-72 tanks that had their combat and technical characteristics upgraded, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has reported on Facebook.
"Today, on March 4, Kyiv Armored Plant transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces the last batch of six T-72s that were upgraded to improve their combat and technical characteristics. Kyiv Armored Plant completed the supply of tanks under a state contract with the Ukrainian Defense Ministry," the report reads.
According to the report, the tanks were upgraded by Kyiv Armored Plant in close cooperation with the central armored division of the logistics forces command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
A representative of the logistics forces command, Lieutenant Colonel Oleh Hrynchak, said that the implementation of the state contract had made it possible to carry out the next stage of completing the equipment of the Armed Forces and in the near future these tanks will replenish the combat composition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
