Ukraine, Turkey to sign new military agreement
A new Ukraine-Turkey military agreement will be signed during President Zelensky's visit to Ankara.
The relevant draft agreement was approved at the Cabinet’s meeting on October 13, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defence.
Ukraine authorized Defence Minister Andriy Taran to sign the agreement.
"As part of the visit of the President of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey on October 15-17, a draft military agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey is planned to be signed... Adoption of the draft act will create legal grounds for expanding bilateral cooperation," Taran said.
Early February, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian senior officials and take part in the Ukraine-Turkey Business Forum.
According to Zelensky, relations between Ukraine and Turkey have significant potential for development and have already reached a new level.
