Ukrainian side of JCCC shows impacts of Krasnohorivka shelling by invaders
The Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) is at the scene, making photos and verifying the shelling from anti-tank guns in the village of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.
"At about 08:00 on August 5, Russian mercenaries fired MT-12 anti-tank guns on the village of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, wounding a local resident and damaging civilian houses," the press center of Joint Forces Operation informs.
Members of the Ukrainian side of the JCCC are at the scene, documenting another crime committed by the Russian-occupation forces against the civilian population in the territory of Ukraine.
These actions of the Russian armed formations are a gross violation of international humanitarian law and the Minsk Agreements.
In addition, it is reported that the Donetsk region police opened a criminal case, which establishes the circumstances of inflicting a shrapnel wound to a local resident in the shelling of Krasnohorivka.
"According to preliminary data, the man was wounded in the shelling of Krasnohorivka. He is currently in hospital. Criminal proceedings have been opened," the police informed.
Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the laws and customs of war). Perpetrators face imprisonment of 8 to 12 years.
