EEAS delegation visits JFO area in eastern Ukraine

A delegation from the European External Action Service (EEAS) has visited the Joint Forces Operation area and discussed with the Ukrainian side possible assistance provided by the Europe Peace Foundation (EPF).

The press service of the Medical Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote about this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Foreign guests visited a mobile military hospital in Donetsk region, talked to wounded Ukrainian defenders, and discussed with representatives of the Joint Forces Operation possible assistance to Ukraine from the Europe Peace Foundation. In particular, they talked about Role 2 medical equipment, trucks, English language training laboratories and other equipment," the report reads.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation. In addition, the EEAS delegation will meet in Kyiv with relevant persons to determine in more detail Ukraine's needs in attracting assistance from the Europe Peace Foundation.

As Ukrinform reported, as of June 2021, since the beginning of the year, 22 foreign delegations visited the Joint Forces Operation area to get acquainted with the security situation in eastern Ukraine.
