Ukrainian soldier wounded in JFO zone
Russian-led forces violated the ceasefire in the area of the Joint Forces Operation in eastern Ukraine four times as of 17:00 on October 11, wounding one Ukrainian soldier, the JFO headquarters has reported on Facebook.
According to the report, the enemy launched three attacks on Ukrainian positions near Pivdenne, using large-caliber machine guns, small arms and grenade launchers of various systems.
Near Krymske, the enemy fired small arms.
"One Joint Forces soldier was wounded in the enemy shelling. The soldier was given emergency medical care and evacuated to a medical facility. His condition is satisfactory," the report reads.
Ukrainian defenders returned fire, forcing the enemy to cease its attack.
The situation in the JFO area remains under control. Ukrainian units continue to perform tasks to repel and deter Russia's armed aggression.
