Occupiers mining new areas in rear near contact line
In the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Russian-occupation forces create new minefields, posing an additional danger to the civilian population.
"Russian-occupation forces continue to fortify the advanced positions. The enemy restores existing and equipping new positions, including the fake ones, using models of equipment and weapons," the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
At the same time, the occupiers intensified engineering works and mining of areas in the rear near the contact line. At the same time, the enemy expands the boundaries of areas to store equipment and weapons and establishes new minefields around them using anti-tank and anti-personnel mines PFM-1, POM-2, PMN-2, MON-50, OZM-72, prohibited by international conventions.
Such actions of the Russian-occupation forces create an additional danger to the civilian population living in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Directorate stressed.
As reported, three ceasefire violations have been recorded in the JFO area in eastern Ukraine today.
