Russian mercenaries fire 120mm mortars near Novozvanivka

Russian-occupation forces have already violated the ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation area in eastern Ukraine once.

"Today, October 23, one ceasefire violation with the use of weapons prohibited under the Minsk agreements has been recorded," the press center of the JFO Headquarters posted on Facebook.

In particular, the occupiers fired 120mm mortars outside Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk). Ukrainian troops fired back, not resorting to the weapons prohibited under the Minsk agreements, and forced the enemy to stop shelling.

As reported, the Russian-occupations troops violated the ceasefire 13 times, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements twice, in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

As a result of the enemy shelling, one Joint Forces soldier was wounded and another one was injured. The soldiers were taken to a medical facility.
