Donbas update: Occupiers break truce 19 times, wounding five Ukrainian soldiers

Over the past day, October 29, Ukraine reported 19 ceasefire violations by the Russian occupation forces in the Joint Forces Operation zone, including one such breach where the enemy employed weapons banned by the Minsk deal.

That's according to the JFO Headquarters, Ukrinform reports.

"Near Prychepylivka, the invaders fired automatic machine grenade launchers. In the direction of Zaitseve, the mercenaries twice used automatic easel-mounted grenade launchers and small arms. Toward Starohnativka, the enemy opened fire with small arms. Enemy troops used grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near Maiorsk and twice near Novotoshkivske. In addition, Ukraine’s defense positions near Vodiane in the Sea of Azov littoral came under fire of grenade launchers of various systems and large-caliber machine guns.

The enemy also used anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms in the vicinity of Maryinka.

The Russian occupation forces used drones to drop VOG-17 shots near the settlements of Stanytsia Luhanska, Lebedynske, and twice near Pavlopil where the enemy also twice fired grenade launchers of various systems.

In Luhansk region, Ukraine forces spotted an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle, likely an Orlan-10, illegally flying over the line of contact.

Five servicemen with the Joint Forces were injured in enemy attacks.

All of them have been evacuated to a medical facility where they are undergoing treatment in “satisfactory” condition.

It is noted that the Ukrainian defenders returned fire without firing weapons proscribed by the Minsk agreements, coercing the enemy to cease the shelling.

As of 7:00 Kyiv time on October 30, no new ceasefire violations were reported.

"The situation in the Joint Forces Operation zone remains under control. Ukrainian units continue to perform certain tasks as assigned," the JFO Headquarters stated.
