Destroyed and damaged houses: Russian-led forces shell Nevelske
Russian-backed forces opened fire on the settlement of Nevelske in Donetsk region early on Wednesday, damaging seven houses and destroying two of them, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry has said.
The police received a report from local residents at 06:45 that Nevelske came under enemy fire at 02:30.
An investigative task force of the Avdiivka police is working at the scene, the report said.
There are no casualties among the population.
The issue of opening criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (violation of laws and customs of war) is being considered. The article provides for imprisonment for a term of 8 to 12 years.
According to law enforcers, the enemy earlier shelled Nevelske on November 14, damaging nine houses.
