OSCE records over 660 ceasefire violations in eastern Ukraine on Nov 18

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine recorded 408 ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and 256 such violations in Luhansk region on November 18, according to daily report 271/2021, published by the SMM.

"In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded 408 ceasefire violations, including 150 explosions (29 outgoing, five impacts, one airburst and 115 undetermined)," the report said.

The majority of ceasefire violations occurred in areas north of Shyrokyne (government-controlled, 100km south of Donetsk), north-west of the railway station in Yasynuvata (non-government-controlled, 16km north-east of Donetsk), and close to the disengagement area near Petrivske (non-government-controlled, 41km south of Donetsk).

In the previous reporting period, the Mission recorded 299 ceasefire violations in the region, some of which also occurred in areas north of Shyrokyne.

"In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded 256 ceasefire violations, including 205 explosions (five outgoing, 14 impacts and 186 undetermined)," the SMM said.

The majority of ceasefire violations occurred at northerly and westerly directions of Kadiivka (formerly Stakhanov, non-government-controlled, 50km west of Luhansk) and in areas north-east of the disengagement area near Zolote (government-controlled, 60km west of Luhansk).

In the previous reporting period, the Mission recorded 145 ceasefire violations in the region, some of which also occurred in areas close to the disengagement area near Zolote.
