Russian mercenaries violate ceasefire in JFO area 14 times

Over the past day, November 25, Russian-occupation troops violated ceasefire in Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine 14 times, including four attacks with the use of the weapons banned under the Minsk agreements.

“Towards Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), the enemy launched three attacks, using grenade launchers of different systems. Towards Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk), two attacks were launched from 82mm and 120mm mortars. Russian mercenaries fired 120mm mortars near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol), small arms – in the area of Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk). Outside Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk), the enemy forces launched two attacks, using tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns and grenade machine guns. Ukrainian positions near Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk) came under grenade launcher, heavy machine gun and small arms fire. Towards Popasna (69km west of Luhansk) and Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), the enemy fired grenade launchers of different systems. Near Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk), the occupiers fired 82mm mortars. In the area of Svitlodarsk (57km north-east of Donetsk), tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns were fired,” the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs.

Joint Forces troops suffered no casualties.

Without resorting to weapons prohibited under the Minsk agreements, Ukrainian defenders returned fire and forced the enemy to stop attacks.

As of 07:00, November 26, no ceasefire violations were recorded.
