The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine recorded 612 ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and 193 in Luhansk region on Friday, November 26, according to daily report 279/2021 published by the OSCE SMM on November 27.
"In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded 612 ceasefire violations, including 32 explosions (three airbursts, one impact and 28 undetermined)," the report said.
The majority of ceasefire violations (491) occurred in an area east of Hranitne (government-controlled, 60km south of Donetsk) and were assessed as a live-fire training exercise in violation of the decision of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) of 3 March 2016 that prohibits the conduct of live-fire training in the security zone, the report added.
In the previous reporting period, the Mission recorded 609 ceasefire violations in the region.
"In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded 193 ceasefire violations, including 48 undetermined explosions," the SMM said.
The majority of ceasefire violations occurred in an area south of non-government-controlled Luhansk city and in areas south and south-west of the disengagement area near Zolote (government-controlled, 60km west of Luhansk).
According to the SMM, the Mission assessed the ceasefire violations recorded near Luhansk city as well as those recorded near Metalist (non-government-controlled, 7km north-west of Luhansk) as live-fire training exercises, in violation of the aforementioned decision.
In the previous reporting period, the Mission recorded 60 ceasefire violations in the region, the majority of which occurred in areas close to the disengagement area near Zolote.
