"The Minister of Defense and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces designated the development of robotic complexes and their mass application as one of their priority tasks. It is about systemic solutions and changes. The realities of war dictate new requirements. We must respond very quickly to the challenges of our times, always be one step ahead of the enemy, invest as much as possible in developing innovative tools of war in order to have more capabilities on the battlefield," said First Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.

Havrilyuk emphasized: "This is a unique experience for Ukrainian arms producers and IT specialists. We are observing how modern technology changes the architecture of combat operations. Our joint task is to provide our soldiers with as many modern weaponry and military equipment as possible. The successful implementation of this project and its scaling will contribute to the creation in Ukraine of an advanced industry of robotic systems. And most importantly, it will save the lives of our soldiers at the front."

According to the report from the Main Department for Arms and Equipment Life Cycle Support, in the first half of 2024, the Ministry of Defense codified and approved for operation over 70 samples of domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and almost 30 ground robotic platforms.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, since year-start, the Ministry of Defense has put into operation almost 480 new types of weapons and equipment.
