Germany details latest aid package for Ukraine
A new package of security assistance from Germany has already been delivered to Ukraine.
The German government revealed the content of the latest package, updating the relevant list of donated items on July 29, reports Ukrinform.
As part of a joint project with Denmark, eight LEOPARD 1 A5 main battle tanks with spare parts were handed over (previously, 50 units of these tanks had been transferred).
Also, 21,000 ammunition rounds for GEPARD anti-aircraft guns have been provided from the Bundeswehr and industrial stocks (a total of 176,000 has already been delivered).
Also included in the package are 10 surface drones (in addition to the 30 previously delivered ones), two Bergepanzer 2 armored recovery vehicles with spare parts (previously, it was 19 units), 10 ground radars (in total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received 66), almost 25,000 helmets, and a field hospital (another such hospital had been provided earlier).
It should be recalled that Germany is Europe’s largest supplier of military equipment to Ukraine and the world’s second-largest.
