CinC Syrskyi, UK Defense Staff chief discuss arms supply, strikes on targets inside Russia
During a phone call with the UK Chief of Defense Staff Admiral Tony Radakin, the Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, discussed the supply of military equipment and weapons and the possibility of hitting the enemy's military facilities on Russian soil.
Syrskyi reported on the phone call on social media, Ukrinform saw.
"I informed my British counterpart about the current strategic situation and the organization of countering russian armed aggression against Ukraine in certain areas of the frontline. Special attention was paid to the capabilities of defeating enemy military targets in operational and strategic depth. Currently, the UK side is working on its own proposals as part of the practical implementation of the Victory Plan," CinC wrote.
The parties also discussed the supply of military equipment and weapons, personnel training, as well as enhancing the effectiveness of the use of high-tech weaponry, which, according to Sirsky, are the main pillars of Ukrainian-British military cooperation.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces drew his British counterpart's attention to the cynical violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes committed by Russian forces, missile and air strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure, and indiscriminate massive bombing of civilian targets.
"In conclusion, I thanked Admiral Sir Tony RADAKIN, the Government and the people of the United Kingdom for their steadfast and unwavering support for Ukraine! " he wrote.
As reported earlier, Syrskyi noted the positive dynamics of damage and destruction of Russian targets by Ukrainian strike drones late September.
