Ukraine seeks cooperation with U.S. on defense innovations
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry is interested in collaborating with the United States in the field of defense innovations, according to Deputy Defense Minister Valerii Churkin.
He said this at a meeting with Major General Keith Phillips, U.S. Defense Attache to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports, citing the ministry's press service.
Churkin expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support provided by the U.S. and outlined his responsibilities, which include shaping military-technical policy, overseeing the life cycle of weaponry, and fostering defense innovation.

He emphasized Ukraine's interest in working with U.S. companies to develop and implement new defense technologies and attract U.S. investment.
"We are open to cooperation in this sector and believe it will be mutually beneficial," Churkin said.
The parties also discussed the need for clear legislative regulation in this area, which would encourage innovation and attract foreign partners.
