Boryspil Airport reports rise in profits for the first time in three years

Due to the implementation of new development strategy, over the nine months of 2015, the net profit of Boryspil International Airport totaled UAH 467.3 million, while the company’s losses over the same period of 2014 amounted to UAH 44.5 million.

The press service of the airport informed.

“The optimization of spending and simultaneous improvement of service quality and the increase in revenues boosted financial results of Boryspil Airport by half a billion hryvnia,” Acting Director General of Boryspil Aiirport Yevhen Dykhne said.

Despite of general tendency towards a decline in passenger flow in Ukraine, Boryspil Airport showed positive results in 2015. Thus, the volume of passenger transportation grew by 5% to 5.6 million passengers over nine months. The transit passenger flow, attracted by the Ukrainian International Airlines, showed the highest growth.

Due to the decisive improvement of company’ financial state over the nine months of the current year, the airport repaid UAH 1.2 billion credits to Ukrainian state-owned banks and the Finance Ministry, as well as the income tax and dividends totaling UAH 165.5 million  - to the state.

Boryspil Airport got profits and increased passenger flow for the first time in the last three years.
