Ukrainian farmers to be assisted in entering EU market
The agreement on cooperation between the Agrarian Policy Ministry of Ukraine and the Agriculture Ministry of Latvia will help domestic farmers to enter the market of the European Union.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at the press conference after the meeting with President of the Republic of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The document between the agrarian policy ministers has been signed today. You know that deep and comprehensive FTA agreement takes effect on January 1. The experience of the Latvian manufacturers, logistics, transport and advisory capabilities of our partners will be fully used by the Ukrainian producers," Poroshenko said.
The President of Ukraine added that the transport agencies of both countries had participated in the elaboration of the cooperation agreement between the agriculture ministries to ensure proper transport conditions for the Ukrainian businessmen.
The President noted that the access to the European market was extremely important for the Ukrainian agricultural producers, taking into account that our products had been blocked in the Russian market.
