Ukraine ranked third largest world grain exporter

Ukraine is listed among top number three nations in the world ranking of grain exporters trailing only the U.S. and the EU.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Oleksy Pavlenko wrote on his Facebook.

"These are top three exporters of grain products," wrote the minister inserting corresponding infographics.

According to the infographic, the first place in the 2014-2015 marketing year took the U.S. - 83.1 million tonnes, the second was the EU - 50 million tonnes, and Ukraine holds the third place - with exports reaching 36 million tonnes.

Meanwhile, according to Pavlenko, the three leaders keep their positions in the 2015-2016 marketing year.

In particular, the U.S. will be top one with the result of 84.5 million tonnes, the EU will export 42 million tons of grain, and Ukraine will increase its exports to total 36 million tonnes of grain.
