Much already done for EU-Ukraine FTA - Mogherini

The EU-Ukraine free trade agreement enters into force on January 1, but the parties still need to soothe Russia.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said this at the joint press conference with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have already done much for implementation of the agreement [the EU-Ukraine deep and comprehensive free trade area agreement]. Now we still need to find practical solutions to remove Russia's concerns regarding the operation of this agreement," Mogherini stressed.

She noted that the negotiations with Russia in this context were ongoing.

"You know that we conduct negotiations with the Russian side, in particular, the negotiations on energy and gas supplies," the EU High Representative noted.
