State Statistics Committee reports inflation data for 2015

The consumer price index in December 2015 compared to December 2014 soared 43.3%, including food products - up 41.5%, clothing and footwear - up 35%. The utilities services skyrocketed to reach a whopping 103%.

These are the consolidated data released by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Also, according to the State Statistics Service data, in relation to food the inflation breakdown is the following: sugar was up 69.8%, vegetables - 66.7%, eggs - 59.4%. The price of bread for the period rose by 45.7%.

The breakdown for the utilities inflation during the period is as follow: natural gas skyrocketed by 273%, hot water, heating was up 78%, electricity increased by 66.9%.

As previously reported, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted at a briefing that inflation in Ukraine for 2015 totaled 45%.
