Ukraine, Turkey agree to bring trade to $10 bln

Ukraine and Turkey have agreed to bring bilateral trade to $10 billion as soon as possible, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said.

He said this at a joint news conference with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Today, taking into account the latest developments, we decided to bring our turnover to a level of 10 billion dollars as soon as possible," he said.

Erdogan said that "a lot of work" had to be done to achieve this goal, in particular, it was necessary to reach the final stage of the signing of the free trade agreement and switch to its practical implementation.

In addition, Erdogan noted that positive signs in this area were the current signing in Kyiv of the agreement on mutual promotion and protection of investments and the agreement on the prevention of double taxation.
