World Bank impressed with reform process in Ukraine
The World Bank is impressed with the extent of the reform process in Ukraine and believes that the government should take even more steps in the context of reforms to ensure the prosperity of Ukrainians.
World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim said this at a joint press briefing with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in Kyiv on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I'm very much aware that the reform process has been difficult for leaders like the prime minister and ministers I met with, especially for the people of Ukraine as there are many sacrifices and many difficulties. But I want everyone to know that we at the World Bank Group and many people observing Ukraine have been very impressed with the extent of the reform process that has happened over the last few years," he said.
He noted that Ukraine needs to complete the reform process and take a few more steps in order to ensure the prosperity of Ukrainians.
