Ukrainian food products presented in Singapore and Malaysia

Ukrainian food companies have presented domestic products within the framework of a specialized trade mission to Singapore and Malaysia.

This is reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Singapore.

"On 22 January 2018, the first large-scale presentation of domestic products to Singaporean companies took place as part of the visit of Ukrainian food producers to Singapore and Malaysia. The event was organized by the Ukrainian Embassy in Singapore in cooperation with the Singapore Business Federation and attended by representatives of twenty Ukrainian food companies and more than fifty representatives of Singaporean companies, including the largest supermarket chains, business associations and distributors," the statement reads.

Opening the event, CEO of the Singapore Business Federation Ho Meng Kit welcomed the efforts to promote Ukrainian products in the markets of Southeast Asia, noting the prospects for agriculture cooperation between Ukraine and Singapore.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Dmytro Senyk noted that the turnover of commodities between Ukraine and Singapore had doubled over the past two years.

"The potential is huge, given the unique role of this country as a logistical and commercial hub in Asia as well as an important member of ASEAN. The common ASEAN market with a population of almost 630 million people is promising for Ukrainian products," the Ukrainian diplomat said.
