Denmark launches new program worth €65 mln to support Ukraine

Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen has announced the launch of a new program, which provides for the allocation of €65 million to support Ukraine.

He said this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I am pleased to officially announce the launch of a new program of the Danish neighborhood in Ukraine. Ukraine is only one of the two priority countries in this new program. The program is a continuation of the long-term partnership between Ukraine and Denmark," Samuelsen said.

He notes that the program provides for the allocation of €65 million for work in such areas as human rights, democracy and sustainable economic growth.

The head of the Danish Foreign Ministry also stresses that Ukraine is a partner country for Denmark, since it has chosen a European path of development and embarked on a course of complicated but necessary reforms.
