Ukraine’s retail trade turnover grows 7.6% in January-March 2018 - State Statistics Service
Retail trade turnover in Ukraine grew by 7.6% in January-March 2018 compared to the same period in 2017. Retail trade turnover of retail trade enterprises (legal entities) made up UAH 151.027 billion, the State Statistics Service reports.
According to the data provided by the State Statistics, Ukraine's retail trade turnover in the first three months of 2018 amounted to 107.6% (in comparable prices) against the same period last year, in March 2018 – 113.1% against February, and 107.6% against March 2017.
The biggest growth in retail trade turnover in January-March 2018 compared with the same period last year was recorded in Vinnytsia (12.3%), Zakarpattia (11.8%), and Mykolaiv (10.8%) regions.
The leaders in terms of absolute volume of retail sales in January-March 2018 were Kyiv city (+UAH 36.065 billion), Dnipropetrovsk (UAH 14.796 billion), Kharkiv (UAH 12.248 billion), Odesa (UAH 11.976 billion), and Kyiv (10.604 billion) regions.
Data provided by the State Statistics Service on retail trade turnover in Ukraine excluded the temporarily occupied territories in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and some parts of the ATO area in Donbas.
