Ukraine’s coal production reaches about 2.6 mln in June 2018

In June 2018, Ukraine’s coal mining enterprises of all forms of ownership extracted 2.55 million tons of coal, which is 5.8% less than planned targets.

The Trade Union of Coal Mining Industry of Ukraine informed this with reference to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.

"In June 2018, the coal mining enterprises of Ukraine of all forms of ownership extracted 2.549,380 tons of coal. The plan was fulfilled by 94.2%,” reads the report.

In particular, the production of coal mines managed by the Energy Ministry made up 308,700 tons, which amounted to 78.7% of the planned targets.

The production of coal mining enterprises of all forms of ownership totaled 16.4 mln tons of coal since the beginning of the year, which is by 774 thousand tons of coal more than targeted.

The coal mines managed by the Energy Ministry extracted 2.16 mln tons of coal since the beginning of the year, which is 93.3% of the planned targets.
