Russia's possible sanctions against Ukraine 'ridiculous' - Klympush-Tsintsadze

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze does not take seriously the situation regarding the possible application of Russian sanctions against Ukraine.

She stated this at the opening of the national khakaton on Ukraine's security and defense, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"One sanction more, one sanction less. What kind of sanctions against a country that became a victim of its [Russian] aggression? It's simply ridiculous," she said, while answering questions from journalists.

Klympush-Tsintsadze said that she regards it as "a reaction to weakness, because the unity of the Western world with Ukraine continues, and this unity and the response to Russia's actions make it nervous."

As reported, Russian media reported last week that Russia was preparing a list of sanctions against several hundred individuals and about a hundred legal entities in Ukraine.

Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv said that Russia's possible sanctions against Ukrainian individuals and legal entities would not affect the country's economy.
