Ukraine exports 3.4 mln tonnes of grain since July 1
Ukraine exported 1.5 million tonnes of wheat, 870,000 tonnes of barley and 902,000 tonnes of corn from July 1, 2018, the Department for Phytosanitary Safety, Seed and Planting Control of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection has reported.
"Since the beginning of the current marketing year, which began on July 1, 2018, Ukraine has exported 3.4 million tonnes of grain crops, in particular, 1.5 million tonnes of wheat (including wheat for food - 848,000 tonnes, wheat for animal feed - 669,000 tonnes), 870,000 tonnes of barley, and 902,000 tonnes of corn," reads the report.
The department noted that over the same period of the previous marketing year Ukraine exported 3.5 million tonnes of grain, in particular, over 1.2 million tonnes of wheat, almost 1.3 million tonnes of barley, and 940,000 tonnes of corn.
Since July 1, Ukraine has already exported more than 398,000 tonnes of oil-bearing crops. As of the same date last year, exports totaled 345,000 tonnes.
