European banks to allocate EUR 900 mln for Kyiv-Odesa highway repair
The European banks intend to allocate EUR 900 million for Kyiv-Odesa highway repair.
"We have managed to complete negotiations with the European banks, the EIB and the EBRD. Ukraine will receive EUR 900 million more for major overhaul of Kyiv-Odesa highway and raising this road to the autobahn category," Acting Head of the State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine ("Ukravtodor") Slawomir Nowak said in an interview with Hromadske.
According to him, it will take two to three years to repair this highway. The works will begin in the next construction season.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Slawomir Nowak as the Head of the State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine on October 19, 2016. Nowak filed resignation letter in September 2019. The Government accepted his resignation on September 25. Nowak will leave the post on October 1.
