Polish loan to Ukraine: eight projects worth EUR 68 mln approved

As part of a Polish loan to Ukraine worth EUR 100 million, eight projects have already been approved for a total amount of EUR 68 million, which will be used to improve cross-border infrastructure.

Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland Andriy Deshchytsia said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“At the moment, eight projects worth about EUR 68 million have been approved. As of today, almost EUR 5 million has been used, that is, the process has already begun,” the Ukrainian diplomat said.

He hopes that this year the existing infrastructure at the Krakovets-Korczowa checkpoint will be improved, in particular, the movement of cars and trucks will be differentiated.

According to him, the issue of creating a Nyzhankovychi-Malhowice checkpoint is also being discussed.

According to the ambassador, everything possible must be done so that the border unites, and does not separate, the Ukrainian and Polish peoples.

As reported, the Polish government approved a EUR 100 million loan to Ukraine back in 2015.
