Ukraine and France have signed agreements worth more than EUR 1.3 billion, including on the supply of electric locomotives, the improvement of water supply in Luhansk region, and the quality of drinking water in Kyiv.

"Ukraine and France have signed four framework agreements totaling more than EUR 1.3 billion. We thank the French side and Minister of Economy, Finance, and Reconstruction of France Bruno Le Maire for supporting and strengthening our strategic relations," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the concluded agreements provide for the implementation of projects on the supply of 130 electric locomotives by Alstom to the tune of up to EUR 900 million, the supply of 370 automatic ladders for works on high-rise buildings worth up to EUR 300 million, the improvement of quality of drinking water in Kyiv at a total value of EUR 70 million, the improvement of water supply in Luhansk region.

Shmyhal stressed that all the projects provided for localization at Ukrainian enterprises from 30% and above which would help create thousands of new jobs.

As reported, Minister of Economy, Finance, and Reconstruction of France Bruno Le Maire makes a visit to Kyiv on Thursday, May 13.
