Kherson airport opens second flight to Istanbul

Kherson International Airport has opened a Pegasus Airlines flight to Istanbul, the Kherson Regional Council reports.

“Today Kherson International Airport met the first flight of the Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus with a water arch. The carrier has connected Kherson and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport with direct flights,” reads the report of June 3.

Flights from Kherson to Istanbul will be operated twice a week - on Thursdays and Sundays. Departure from Kherson at 14:55, from Istanbul at 12:30. The flight duration is 1 hour 35 minutes.

This is the 13th direct flight between Ukraine and Turkey performed by Pegasus Airlines. Since the beginning of this year, Pegasus has announced new flights from Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia to Bodrum, from Odesa to Istanbul, and from Kyiv to Gazipaşa.

In addition, Turkish Airlines offers flights on the Kherson-Istanbul route four times a week.

On May 28, the first charter flight of Bees Airlines departed from Kherson to Antalya.
